KH screw jack bevel gearbox Type KH1 – KH3 screw jack bevel gearboxes are used as an preferred alternative to our worm gear jacks when high rates of motion are required (e.g. > 3meters/min) and the loads are not too high. Typical applications are in automation and handling machinery, where duty cycles can be as high as 50%. Ball-screw spindles are used, to ensure high quality performance. The bevel gear set features hardened and ground spiral-toothed bevel gears. The gearboxes are supplied with grease lubrication as standard. For more demanding requirements, we also offer oil lubrication. The screw jack bevel gearboxes are available in basic and moving-nut versions, both types with transmission ratios of 1: 1 or 2:1. 3: 1 is possible in special cases. If screw jack bevel gearboxes are compounded or used as jack systems, then no additional right-angle gearing is required, unlike worm gear jacks. Brake motors are required to drive the KH gearboxes, since they are not self-locking. For manual positioning and subsidiary applications, we recommend our MKH modular screw jack bevel gearboxes. |
